Custom Fashion Doll Repaint Commission: Lucy Liu for Seanan

I don't get to do realistic dolls very often, but I do enjoy them.  I'm so happy with how this doll turned out.  I'm always terrified of flubbing repaints like this.  Lucy Liu is one of my favorite actresses, and I'd hate for a repaint based on her likeness to turn out as more of an insult, lol.  She's an Lucy Liu (Alex) doll from Charlie's Angels that Seanan commissioned.  I believe the inspiration for this repaint was Lucy's character, Dr. Joan Watson, from Elementary.  Seanan transferred the original head to a  much more articulated Fashion Royalty body.

I tried my best to capture her features, she really is such a beautiful woman.  She has such cute little freckles <3.

    Holy cow; I thought the first pic of your repaint was a photo of Lucy that you used for reference. Damn good work.

    Oh, she's fabulous!! (And Kira and I are currently enjoying the heck out of "Elementary" -- we only started watching it recently, so we've been having enjoyable evening episode binges whenever we get the chance. It's such a good show, and Lucy Liu is amazing in it!)

    You have inspired me to buy one in the future. She looks so wonderful! I want to set up a future "Elementary" setting, perhaps.

    Two quick questions: is the head easy to switch? Also, her hair looks much better. How is it tamed? Thank you for posting this!

    I have the same doll & a Fashionista to re-body her, but she doesn't fit. I'm a beginner, & thought you would know how to get around the problem.

    And I love your wonderful work!
